Captain Esteban will provide you with the most memorable experience possible, with swimming with the manatees. These huge , but adorable creatures , are one of God’s greatest creations. You will learn about their life cycle, habitat, breeding, environment, & their close " encounter" with extinction.You will also see many of the native birds, fish, & animals, that share the lovely Crystal River area.

Your day will start off at a dive shop where you will be furnished with all necessary gear for your swim with the manatees.This includes mask, fins, snorkel, & wetsuit.You will then watch a short manatee orientation video that shows all the " do’s & don’t’s " of swimming with these lovely animals. Then we’re off !!

Your USCG licensed & experienced Capt. will direct you to our boat, which will be a large jonboat, or pontoon, according to the size of the group. You will be briefed about proper boating safety, gear will be checked, & we will leave dock for the short & easy ride to an area where manatee gather.There, you will suit up & quietly enter the water for the experience of a lifetime!

The trip usually lasts about 2 1/2- 3 hours. Best times to see the manatee are in the mornings,from mid October thru February, when the herd migrates in for the winter, close to the springs.It is less crowded if the trips are during the week, rather than weekends.

Rent an underwater 35mm camera = $15 [ includes film]

SCUBA gear is available, if needed, at extra cost.

Many motels, & restaurants are in the area. I can

recommend several, if needed. RV camping is nearby.
